Barbara Lynn (Kendall) Leigh

Barbara Lynn Kendall Leigh, age 51 gave up time for Eternity, Friday, August 9, 2019 while a patient at Atrium Health, Albemarle, North Carolina. Born January 23, 1968 in Fairfax County, Connecticut, Barbara was the daughter of the late Wesley and Alice D. McCain Kendall. We give honor and glory for Barbara’s life and are blessed beyond measure to have shared so many wonderful memories.

She was a graduate of North Stanly High School, New London, North Carolina; and received her Bachelor’s degree   in Computer Science from Pfeiffer University, Misenheimer, North Carolina. Barbara was employed as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration, Albemarle, North Carolina.

Barbara and her family’s church affiliation was with Parkers Grove Baptist Church, New London. In her leisure, she enjoyed Salsa dancing, reading and traveling.

She married Dwayne L. Leigh on November 27, 1993 and they were the proud parents of a daughter, Alyssia.

Her life and legacy will forever be cherished and remembered by her husband, Dwayne L. Leigh, of the home; daughter, Alyssia D. Leigh, Charlotte, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Dolores Leigh, Detroit, Michigan; brother-in-law, Ronald Leigh, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Godson, Rasheed Culbertson; close girlfriends: Terry, Tina, Greta, Connie, Miriam and Amy; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
