Baby Prosper Martrev Boyd

Our precious Angels, baby boy, Prosper Martrev Boyd, born and passed August 21, 2020; and baby girl, Marleia Faith Boyd, born and passed August 22, 2020, are now resting in the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Their parents, Marcus and Shanique Harris Boyd, are heartbroken, but know Our God is merciful, loving, and omnipotent. Prosper and Marleia lived a short life, but they will live eternally in our hearts. We give thanks, Oh Lord, for their lives.

Our twins, Prosper and Marleia, are survived by their parents, Marcus and Shanique Boyd; maternal grandparents: Stephanie Rice, Robert (Kim) Harris, and Shelia Watkins;paternal grandparents: Jimmy and Marva Boyd, Greenville, North Carolina; maternal great grandparents: Margie Harris and Cornelia Rice; aunts: Chiquita Rice (Jerry Solomon), Roshonda (Kelvin) Davis and Celeste Thompson; uncles: Jeremy Harris, Quentin Bryant, Tywan Bryant, Demetrius (Tradonya) Mayo and Carlos Boyd; paternal great grandparents: Lula Mae Boyd; many other relatives and friends of the family.

Heaven’s Rocking Chair

Are there rocking chairs in Heaven
where little babies go?
Do the angels hold you closely
and rock you to and fro?

Do they talk silly baby talk
to get a smile or two,
and sing the sleepy lullabies
we planned to sing to you?

Our hearts are aching for you,
our angel children so dear.
You brought such joy into our lives,
the short time you were here.

We know you are in a happy place,
and in God’s loving care.
We dream each night we are rocking you
in Heaven’s rocking chair.
