Abraham Brooks

We give thanks for the life of our beloved, Abraham Brooks, who passed and was given eternal rest, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, while a patient at Atrium Health-Stanly, Albemarle, North Carolina. Born February 21, 1950, in Wilson County, North Carolina, Abraham was the son of the late Laura Brooks Howell.

Abraham received his formal education in the Stanly County public schools and attended the historic Kingville High School, Albemarle.

A believer, Abraham enjoyed many spirited church services at Colston Street Church of God, Albemarle. He loved fishing and watching his favorite television programs.

Those who will remember Abraham with fondness are his only child, a daughter, Yvette Lee; sisters: Tincy Mae(Chester) Aycock, Gail (Roscoe) Dew, Annette (Clarence) Albert, Jennifer Howell, and Doreatha W. Prince ; brother, Ricky Wiggins; special daughter, Charlene (Steve) McRae; a host of other family and friends.
