Renelia Wilson Obituary

Ms. Renelia Hyatt Wilson answered God’s call and entered Eternal rest Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at her residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Harris Hyatt; and was born February 8,1957 in Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina. Our dearly loved one is no longer physically with us, but she will forever live in our hearts. We are thankful for the years we shared her life.

“Ree” as she was affectionately known received her formal education in the Stanly County public schools and attended Kingville High School. After desegregation in 1968, she transferred to Albemarle Senior High School where she graduated in the Class of 1975. Prior to declining health, “Ree” was employed with Collins & Aikman Company, Albemarle.

Her church affiliation was with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Albemarle where she was a member of the Senior Choir. “Ree” was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters: Keija and Kendra. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her favorite soap operas.

Renelia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George W. Hyatt Jr.

She had a warm and gentle spirit and will be remembered lovingly by her daughters: Keija Taree Hyatt, Kendra Wilson, and Mahogany Christian (a great niece reared in the home) all of Albemarle; grandchildren: Kamoree Wilson, Julukus Hyatt, Kamoria Wilson, Ke’ Darien Wilson, and Kyler Wilson; brothers: Osco (Mary) Harris, John Ray Hyatt, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Nicholas (Priscilla) Hyatt, Albemarle; sister, Mary (Devron) Taylor, Minneapolis, Minnesota; special God-sons: Tyvon and Tyron McDonald; a host of other relatives and friends.
