Mildred Ann Tillman Parker entered Eternal rest Monday, December 16, 2019. She was born June 18, 1931 in Anson County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Tilda Tillman. As we mourn the loss of our beloved Mildred during this Advent season, we give thanks to Our Lord and Savior for blessing us and allowing us to share her life for so many years.
She was educated in the Anson County public schools and retired from Jeffrey’s Manufacturing Company, Albemarle, after many years of dedicated service.
Mildred was a former member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Albemarle where she served faithfully until her health declined. Often filled with humor, Mildred enjoyed people and loved making them laugh. She was conscientious and illuminated strong work ethics that she instilled in her children and others.
Her husband, Walter Eugene Parker Sr.; brothers: John Henry Tillman, Ray Tillman, Eddie Tillman, Charlie Tillman, William Tillman, James Tillman and Gene Tillman; sisters: Mary McLaurin, Ada Tillman, Francis Tillman, Betty Tillman, and Jenny B. Smith preceded her in death.
Precious and everlasting memories will remain in the hearts of her children: Walter Parker Jr., Albemarle, North Carolina and Brenda Parker, New London, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. As we say goodbye to Mildred, know that we will see her again in that Great Gettin’ Up Morning.
“Goodnight Mildred, may flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest”.
