Irish Ronae Davis, age 62, entered Eternal rest, Friday, May 25, 2018 while a patient at Novant Presbyterian Healthcare, Charlotte. North Carolina. Ronae as he was affectionately known was born February 24, 1956 in Stanly County, North Carolina. He was the son of Clyde Davis and the late Doris Townsend. He was reared and loved by the late Laura Ewing. He will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand to his fellowman. We are thankful for the years we shared his life.
He attended the public schools of Stanly County and he was quite the handyman. He could repair most any gadget or machinery. He always gave one-hundred percent effort to projects he was involved in. His last employment was with Off the Square Restaurant, Albemarle, North Carolina.
His former church affiliation was with Saint Delight Church, Albemarle. His most recent affiliation was with The Gathering Church, Albemarle. He enjoyed attending various churches in the community. Ronae loved riding his bicycle, reading his Bible, mediating on the word, doing lawn work and telling others about the goodness of the Lord. He was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger. As stated previously he enjoyed helping his fellowman, especially when they needed some assistance with a repair.
He was married to the former Linda Kelly.
Those left to cherish fond memories are: his wife, Linda Kelly Davis, Norwood, North Carolina; daughter, Kia Davis (Kenneth West), Norwood; grandchildren: Makayla, Micah and McKenzie; brothers: Andre Townsend, New York, Wayne Townsend, Michael Townsend, Dwight Davis, Todd Davis and Marlon Davis, all of Albemarle and Timothy Davis, Mooresville, West Virginia; sisters: Paula (Artis) Sellers, Tanya (Christopher) Harris, Kim (Fernando) Ponds and Sonia Townsend, all of Albemarle, Pamela Davis, Brooklyn, New York and Rita (Reginald) Crews; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
