Alicia Brown Obituary

Heaven’s Gate has opened for Alicia Diane Brown who transitioned to her Eternal Home Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was born March 8, 1978 in Gary, Indiana and was the daughter of Shelia B. and George Miller and the late Donald Davis. It is never easy to say good-bye to our loved ones, but we give Almighty thanks to Our Lord and Savior for allowing us the opportunity to share Alicia’s life.

She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and was a 1996 graduate of Albemarle Senior High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. Alicia furthered her education at Stanly Community College and was employed as a behavioral specialist with Monarch, Albemarle. She was a Believer who attended and enjoyed church services at Shady Grove Baptist Church, East Spencer, North Carolina. At Shady Grove she was a former member of the Voices of Faith Choir; and was an active participant with the Youth Usher Board. Alicia’s children: Nadia and Dayvein, were the ‘apples of her eye’. She enjoyed loving them, spoiling them, and spending time with them and other family members.

Although her years on earth were short, Alicia had a life filled with a strong faith and love for her family and friends. She has joined others of faith in a place where we are told is perfect in every way.

Alicia will forever be cherished and remembered by: her children, Nadia D. Lindsey and Dayvein Lindsey, both of Albemarle, North Carolina; her mother and step-father: Shelia B. and George Miller, New London, North Carolina; step-brother: Brian Miller, Salisbury, North Carolina; cousin, Roger Brown, Polkton, North Carolina (who was reared like a brother to Alicia); special friend, Kenny Thomas, Albemarle, North Carolina; step-sister, Levette Carmon, Charlotte, North Carolina; aunts: Melissa Bonds, Chesterville, Virginia and Darnella (Jacob) Davenport, Salisbury, North Carolina; uncle, David Brown, Salisbury, North Carolina; great aunts, great uncles, other relatives and friends.
