Alberta Christina (Yarborough) Threadgill

June 21, 1927 ~ January 16, 2018 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Alberta Christina Yarborough Threadgill, daughter of the late Thomas Yarborough, Louise Yarborough Bivens  and Will Bivens was born June 21,1927 in Union County, North Carolina. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 16,2018 while a patient at The Laurels of Salisbury, Salisbury, North Carolina. Alberta’s family consisted of twelve children: six daughters and six sons.  We are truly blessed to have shared our dear loved one’s life for so many years.

She was educated in the Union County public schools and was employed with Wiscasset Mills, Albemarle, North Carolina prior to her retirement.

Alberta was a faithful and active member of Saints Delight Church, Albemarle, before declining health. At Saints Delight, she was Mother of the Church, a devout Missionary member and Youth Group Leader.

She was married to Worth Jamie Threadgill of Cottonville, North Carolina, who preceded her in death.

Alberta was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt whose memory will always be treasured; and she will be missed greatly.

Left to cherish her memory are: two daughters: Janelle Smith, Albemarle, North Carolina and Edie Morrison, Salisbury, North Carolina; one son, Worth “Brother” Threadgill, Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Phyllis Smith(Rodney Wright),Salisbury,
North Carolina, Chrissy(Alvin) Currie, Albemarle, North Carolina, Mitchell (Dasha) Smith, Mint Hill, North Carolina, Dwayne Holmes and Nicole (Daniel) Holmes Matangira, both of Salisbury, North Carolina; ten great grandchildren: Roneisha Smith, Shamira Wright, Ali Currie, Alvin Currie, Nakya Holmes, Mailee-Grace Matangira, Jordan Smith, Lauren Smith, Kordell Frederick and Irise Youman; two great great grandchildren: Kori Robbins and Nalah Currie; one sister, Cora Staton, Oakboro, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alberta was the youngest child of Louise and Thomas, the last to transition from that union, and she was welcomed to her Heavenly Home by her parents and other family members.

                                                                                “Lil Baby Will Be Missed”.
