Wanda Ruth Griffin

 Wanda Ruth Griffin was born March 22, 1951, in Albemarle, NC to the late Dillon Griffin and Pearline White Griffin Kiser. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the request of the Lord.

Wanda was a graduate of West Stanley High School. She was employed in the textile industry in Stanly County for many years.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook in Stanly County.  Wanda gave her life to the Lord early in life and was a longtime member of Brown Hill AME Zion Church.  She later joined Little Jerusalem Holiness Church and she served on the Usher Board, a Devotion Leader, and choir member. Wanda was a humble servant of the Lord and loved working with the children and praising God at every opportunity.

Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter, "Babygirl" Griffin.

Left to cherish her most fondest memories: her son, Tavias (Heather) Griffin,  Concord, NC; granddaughter, Anabel L'Esterance; five brothers: John (Alma) Griffin, Wayne Griffin, Avon Griffin, all of Locust, NC, Paul (Genova) Griffin, Oakboro, NC and Claude (Carolyn) Griffin, Badin, NC; two sisters: Brenda Thomas and Tina (Ron) Davis, both of Charlotte, NC;  one aunt, Everline (Earl) Broadway, Locust, NC; a host of  nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
