Wallace Anthony Davis, age 59, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at his home in Oakboro, North Carolina. Born January 31, 1959 in Stanly County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Clayton, Sr., and Aggie Ree Martin Davis. It is most difficult to bereave the death of our beloved Wallace, but we give thanks to our Lord and Savior for allowing us the opportunity to share his life.
He was educated in the Stanly County public schools and was employed for many years as a doffer with Canon Mills, Kannapolis, North Carolina. Wallace and his family were life-long members of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Oakboro.
“WaWa” as he was affectionately known, was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing and watching basketball. His favorite football team was the Carolina Panthers. Other interests included: reading, playing board games, drawing, fishing, tending the lawns at home, and in the community. He was also quite the tinker as he could dismantle and assemble many gadgets.
Fond and cherished memories are left with his family and friends.
