On Sunday, October 23, 2016, NELLIE LEE HORNE WILLIAMS, quietly left on her well planned journey to her new home in Glory, where she is already in fellowship with Jesus, the center of her joy, and all of her family and friends were awaiting her arrival.  In sweet peace, she departed this life of 70 years, with her loved ones at her bedside.  Through her illness, Nellie had an abiding faith and love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Her church affiliations were as a life-long member of East Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Norwood, North Carolina.  She served her church faithfully in many capacities as long as she could which included: former president of the Usher Board, former member of the Young Adult Choir and Missionary Board and Youth Department Leader.  She found joy in taking care of her grandchildren, by giving them that special “grandmother love”.

Nellie was united in Holy Matrimony for fifty-two (52) years to Henry K. Williams.

She was preceded in death by: two daughters: Mindy Williams and Willena Williams; siblings: Robert Horne, Tabitha Thomas and Marjean Bridges.
