Martha Ellen Wright

Martha Ellen Wright was born July 8, 1942 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the parentage of the late  Emmanuel and Connie Allen Wright. She passed into eternal rest on Saturday, April 8,2017 while a patient at Forrest Oakes Healthcare, Albemarle, North Carolina.

She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and was never employed due to health challenges. Martha was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Badin, North Carolina. She was a sweet spirit who enjoyed someone reading to her; she also enjoyed watching her favorite syndicated television sitcom, The Andy Griffith Show.

In addition to her parents her siblings: James Wright, William Earl Wright, Clark Wright Jr., Mark Wright, Evan Robinson Wright, Bobby Wright, Betty Wright Turner, Mae Esther Martin, Connie Rushing, and Lois Bennett.

Those who survive and will forever cherish Martha’s memory are: three sisters: Mary W.(Josh, Jr.) Williams, Badin, North Carolina, Bonnie W. (Henry) Hinson, Albemarle, North Carolina and Eunice W. Kendall, Badin, North Carolina; a brother, Reverend Elijah Wright, Chattanooga, Tennessee; an aunt,  Julia Williams, Wadesboro, North Carolina; an uncle, Shelton Horne, High Point, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
