Lonnie Tyson

Lonnie Tyson, age 85, gave up time for Eternity on Christmas Day, December 25, 2016, while a patient at Forest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. Born in Anson County, North Carolina, Lonnie was the son of the late Dill Tyson; and he was reared by his aunt, the late Margie Tyson Cox.

He attended the Anson County Public Schools and was retired from the City of Albemarle after many years of employment. In his leisure, Lonnie enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and hunting.

In addition to his mother, Dill and his Aunt Margie, Lonnie was preceded in death by a brother, William Tyson.

Lonnie is survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

Of happy times and laughing time and bright and sunny days.
