Our dear “Da”, granddaddy, great granddaddy, great great-granddaddy, brother, and friend, James Henry Robinson transitioned in Eternal life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy, Charlotte, North Carolina. We give thanks to our Lord and Savior for allowing us to share his life for so many years. He will be dearly missed.
Born in Stanly County, North Carolina, June 28,1937, James was the son of the late Hurley Lee and Dorethea Yarborough Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Madie Simpson and two brothers: Carlee Robinson and Roscoe Robinson.
He was educated in the Stanly County public schools. Carpentry was his trade and he was employed for Daniel’s Construction Company, Salisbury, North Carolina and R.W. He has enjoyed the fellowship and spirited services at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Charlotte, North Carolina for many years.
In his leisure, James enjoyed cooking meals, especially Sunday dinners for his family, gardening, fishing and telling funny stories. What we will remember most of all is that “Da” was a quiet, humble man, with a green thumb, that enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his beloved “Ms. Mary”.
