Ida Neal

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come.  Thy will be done, and thus Ida Benson Neal, was called from a life of labor to heavenly reward on Monday, December 14, 2015. We, her family and friends, thank God for the years he allowed us to share her life.    

Born January 19, 1927, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, Ida was the daughter of the late Tillman and Amanda Benson. She attended the Kershaw County public schools and was employed for many years in the banking industry. Ida and her family were members of Macedonia Baptist Church, Midland North Carolina where she was a faithful member until her health declined.

Ida was joined in Holy Matrimony to James Neal who preceded her in death in March  of this year. In addition to her parents, and her husband, James, Ida was  preceded in death by a son, Royland.

A sweet spirit, Ida's memory will forever be treasured by: a loving, devoted daughter, Michelle Conner, Gastonia, North Carolina; two sons: Dennis Neal, Poughkeepsie, New York and Thomas Neal, Charlotte, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; a host of great- great  grandchildren; a brother, Benny (Betty) Benson, Fayetteville, North Carolina; a sister, Rosabelle Benson, Camden, South, Carolina; many other relatives and friends.

Goodnight sweet Ida...and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
