George Junior Alexander

Born July 26, 1938 in Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina , George Junior Alexander, was the son of the late George Alexander and Louise Hendricks Bost.  He departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 12, 2016, while a patient at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, North Carolina.  We give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing us to share George's life.

George's formal education was received in the Cabarrus County, North Carolina public schools where he graduated high school in the Class of 1956.  After graduation he served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.  Prior to retirement George was self-employed truck driver for many years.  He was a faithful member of Brown Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, Locust, North Carolina where he served on the Trustee Board.  He was a former member of the Glory Land Singers.  George enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and driving his truck around the countryside.  He also enjoyed a spirited wrestling match on television.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Bost, and a sister, Barbara Wallace.

George and Mary Hamilton Alexander were joined in Holy Matrimony for more than fifteen years.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his wife, Mary H. Alexander, Oakboro, North Carolina; two daughters: Bobbi Besley, Montgomery Village, Maryland and Evangelist Vickie (Samuel) Spence, Jr., Waldorf, Maryland; five grandchildren; Vaughn Besley, Sean Besley, Breanna Besley, Samuel (Jessica) Spence, II and Elder Stefon (Jalissa) Spence; two great grandchildren: David Spence and Levi Spence; a sister-in-law, Virginia Staon, Oakboro, North Carolina; a host of other relatives and friends.
