Elder Bobby Erwin Kluttz answered God’s call and entered Eternal rest on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Albemarle, North Carolina at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born December 13,1941 in Oakboro, Stanly County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Huey Lee and Flossie Hamilton Kluttz. He received his early education in the Stanly County public schools and attended Kingville High School, Albemarle. Elder Kluttz was a long-distance truck driver for over 45 years prior to his retirement.
He received his call into the ministry at an early age and labored in the vineyard until his health declined. He was the former Pastor of Lindsey Chapel Friendship Church of God in Christ, Lilesville, North Carolina and New Word of Faith Church of God in Christ, Oakboro. Elder Kluttz was kind hearted and helpful. He could often be seen delivering gas to his neighbors and helping wherever he was needed. Hobbies included: watching sports programs and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Frederick D. Kluttz; a grandson, Kenneth Kluttz; and two brothers: Wayne Kluttz and Johnny Kluttz.
Elder Kluttz and Pastor Peggy Griffin Kluttz celebrated fifty-five years of marriage on February 9, 2018. They were a devoted couple and devoted to their family.
Left to cherished fond memories are: a loving wife, Pastor Peggy G. Kluttz, Albemarle; one son, Samuel (Janice) Kluttz, Concord, North Carolina; three daughters: Leslie Ann Kluttz, Albemarle, Mia Kluttz (William) Caldwell, Moorefield, West Virginia and Jeannie (Bruce) Little, Polkton, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren (Nicholl, Nicholas, Gary, Jr., Garnasis and Candace were reared by Elder Kluttz and his wife); eleven great grandchildren; two brothers: Darryl Kluttz, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Terry Kluttz, Warren County, North Carolina; four sisters: Mary (Osco) Harris, Sylvia (Freddie) Luster, Pastor Hattie Horne, all of Minneapolis and Katherine (Danny) Houston, Kannapolis, North Carolina; a special friend, Harrison Murphy, Albemarle; a host of other family members and friends.
