Beulah Ann Davis

October 5, 1940 ~ December 9, 2015 (age 75) 75 Years Old


Beulah Ann Colston Davis, age 75, answered God’s call and went from labor to reward on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. We, her family and friends, give thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing us to share her life.

She was born October 5, 1940, in Albemarle, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Brant and Georgia Crump Colston. Beulah received her formal education in the Stanly County public schools. She was employed for several years with Wiscassett Manufacturing Company, Albemarle, North Carolina.

In 1956, Beulah and Clyde A. Davis were joined in Holy Matrimony. Plans had already begun to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary in July 2016.

Early in life Beulah, Clyde and their children joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Albemarle, North Carolina. Beulah loved singing and was a member of the Gospel Choir at Mt. Zion. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who always found time to help others. She was talented and enjoyed making crafts-especially floral arrangements and cooking for family gatherings. Her specialty was making candied apples. She had and infectious smile and was “Mama” to many.

In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by a brother, Memphis Colston, a sister, Frances Rowson, and a grandson, Cordarus Leake.

Those left to cherish and mourn a dearly loved one are: Beulah’s husband of fifty-nine years, Clyde A. Davis, of the home; four sons: Dwight M. Davis and Todd Davis, both of Albemarle, NC, Timothy (Banessa) Davis, Mooresfield, WV, and Marlon Davis, Colonial Heights, VA; three daughters: Pamela L. Davis, Brooklyn, NY, Paula A. (Artis) Sellers and Tanya S. Davis, both of Albemarle, NC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great -great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Eugene Davis; two sisters-in law: Martha D. Little and Vanglee Colston; a very special aunt, Ruby Hyatt; a special niece, Lillie F. (Mo) Collymore; nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
