Welcome to the memorial page for

Betty Jean (Kendall) Christian

April 23, 1935 ~ December 26, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Christianity ensures triumph over death. When a Christian pulls off the mortal clothing and puts on the immortal, they are happy because they are going to a place where they can see their pilot face to face. A place that is beautiful, a place of eternal love; a place where all is forever well.

The Book of Life of Mrs. Betty Jean Kendall Christian opened on April 23, 1935 in Stanly County, North Carolina where she was born to the late Edward David Kirk, Sr., and Helena Kendall Wilson.

Pages of the book reflect her educational endeavors in the public schools of Stanly County and Montgomery County Community College. The historical pages reveal that she was a retired employee of Fruit-of-the Loom, Star, North Carolina and QuickChek, Troy, North Carolina. The Book of Life also revealed that she was a faithful and dedicated member of Wadeville A.M.E. Zion Church, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina where she served as the superintendent and secretary of the Sunday School, member of the Church Choir and Deaconess Board. She later joined St. Luke Holiness Church, Mt Gilead, North Carolina and New Direction Life Ministries, Norwood, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Margaret Ann Kendall, Shirley Ann Gibson, Marilyn Elizabeth Jackson, Jahala Lucille Owens, Sandra K. Hicks, and Willie Johnson.

The Book of Life of Betty Jean Kendall Christian closed on the evening of December 26, 2016 when the Angel of Silence came for her at 10:00 pm.
