Barbara Ann Crump

Miss Barbara Ann Crump was born April 24,1962 in Charlotte, North Carolina and departed her earthly life Thursday evening, June 9,2016. We, her family and friends, give thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing us to share her life.

Barbara received her formal education in the Anson County public schools and was a graduate of Bowman Senior High School, Wadesboro, North Carolina. She was employed with GHA (Group Home for The Autistic) as a direct support provider for over twenty years. At an early age Barbara confessed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior; and was a life-long member at Cedar Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, Ansonville, North Carolina. There she served and was a former member of the Usher Board and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, especially the Bible, and helping her fellowman.

Her father, Billy Johnson, preceded her in death.

Barbara had a generous spirit and a passion for helping others. Those that will cherish her memory and kindness are, her biological mother, Annette Hood; an aunt, Florence Rorie, who reared Barbara as her daughter; three biological sisters: Anita Crump, Gwendolyn Harris and Rosemary Jackson; a biological brother, Willie James Crump; two special sisters with who she was reared: Jennifer Turner and Kalisha (Tony) Alexander; three special nephews: Dorian Turner, Jr., Daelen Turner and Darious Stanback; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Good night dear Barbara, may flights of Angels sing thee to thou rest.
